Lucas (Tibi) Christmas morning

Tressa Christmas morning

A magical morning

I would like to first tell you about the gifts I got this morning from my children;

Keirsten went to Ross and picked out a beautiful sporty outfit for me to go in. I looked all over for the free pass for babysitting but it wasn't there...LOL It was thoughtful and I can not wait to get out and wear it.
Kaitlyn got me all kinds of spa items to use in my jacuzzi tub.. (a past gift) my bedroom/bathroom is my sanctuary to sanity. My painting, fireplace, tub, bed (mattress) and new lamp and all the primp items to have a feel good time.
Steven chose white diamonds perfume for me. He was insistent to buy it Mandie tells me so I will be honored to try it on me. He added some earth tone eye shadows (I needed)
Jordan--all who know us, got me silky PJ's....LOL so Jordan.
Tressa decided to buy me a candy bar, a Giant chocolate candy bar, and some nice designer sunglasses.

So Mama is happy.......

Our Christmas morning stated at 1 am without Mom involved.... Tressa woke up; (as aloud) can get her stocking, get everything out of her stocking BUT NOTHING ELSE. I would prefer it be more like 7 am not 1 am.... Santa knows no edibles in our home, she is safe to have her stocking alone... she fell back asleep about 3 until 5 am when she came into my room to tell me Santa came.. when I walked out to the living room she pointed to gifts telling me who's they are by name...I figure from 1 until 3 she must have read tags...LOL Jordan wakes up and is very upset no candy canes or treats are in his stocking...it causes a tiff and Tressa accidentally drops my camera on the tile floor..OH NO! the lens is broke again..the pictures are all pink and tons of lines through them...I take another photo--same...the next couple it is getting worse.. This happened last year and I had to mail it off which took time to get the lenses replaced. Oh my goodness..She is saying she is sorry and I am praying to say focused, it is OK!. We get cuddled on the bed ....Jordan wants to show me again there is no candy canes...He is crying, I run to the tree and grab a small Hess truck gift for him to open and told him Santa ran out of Candy canes but got him a gift...this worked and he started playing... I am trying to make it to 6 am before everyone wakes up... Not happening.. Kaitlyn is up screaming Santa came...Santa brought us presents... Out the window went getting your stockings quietly. Steven comes running and Lucas is tired eyed wondering in "what the heck is going on"... He climbs up on the couch and watches with his thumb in his mouth....Given a gift, he isn't interested..ALL THE REST ARE. no more not wanting to open gifts.. that is in the past. Lucas' second gift is a toy piano...HE IS INTERESTED and plays with his new piano for the rest of the time the kids open gifts. The boys come to help Lucas open his gifts although nothing i taking the focus off the piano. Lights, sounds and music...What can be better than that.

Keirsten claims this is the best Christmas EVER! Kaitlyn is in heaven with her new blue DS, Steven is just stoked, nothing in particular but he did get his skate board.. he just loves life with toys... Jordan is looking for a ride on "TRUCK" like his jeep from last year. It wasn't in the budget and not necessary ...He got a HUGE Tonka truck to play with so in time h will grasp life...Tressa...Well she got her PINK GUITAR and lit up like a star. She got all she wanted and has a new real life like baby doll from her birth sisters she can not wait until Seattle wakes up so she can tell them she loves "Lila." Lucas, hands down for now the piano although I have this big farm with animals and sounds all the kids enjoyed at Aunt Nancy's and Aunt Nancy sent over one for our house so she will get her call later..They will LOVE IT when thy realize what is inside the box... To much chaos to open it right now.

It is time for breakfast/ coffee, I didn't focus on anything easy...I am tired...you think I can get them back into bed for a bit?????? I am dreaming. I hope all your families are having a wonderful morning as well. We are all elated here.

NOTE: After a second or third try my camera corrected itself.... :0))

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

The cookies are set next to the tree with care, Jordan has mixed some hot chocolate set by the chair. It is lights out at our home so that Santa can appear as I am tired and morning is near. The children are high as kites from the cheer that was shared with their siblings and some of their peers. The Christmas Eve party 2008 was to celebrate siblings even though there were only eight that appeared. Now it is late, I need to end here, so please take over...spread to your own family some of our families cheer.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!

Christmas eve siblings party

Eight of my eleven children attended Christmas Eve 2008, and three of my four grandchildren..

One big happy family! Merry Christmas everyone.

Let the party begin.......

Does Dale Tiffany ring any bells.....

For me it rings them all and lights my life up!!!!

I am never going to come out of my room...Two years ago she got me the fireplace which is in my room. Last year a friend gave me an orig. Thomas Kincaid painting and now my Tiffany lamp. I feel like a Princess. THANK YOU MANDIE! (my Santa)

It is a wonderful time of the year...

Michelle has called and will be getting here a little after 5. Mandie just phoned to say they are about to get into their car (my van/ the sleigh) and wanted any last minute pick ups... so we are ready to sing....

It's the most wonderful time of the year.
With the kids jingle belling,
and everyone telling you,
"Be of good cheer,"
It's the most wonderful time of the year.
There'll be parties for hosting,
marshmallows for toasting and
caroling out in the snow.
there'll be scary ghost stories and
tales of the glories of Christmases
long, long ago.
It's the most wonderful time of the year.
There'll be much mistletoeing
and hearts will be glowing,
when loved ones are near.
It's the most wonderful time of the year.

Merry Christmas "eve" sing with us

It is a hurting country we live in so please pray a silent prayer for all those hurting. I got an email from a single man 27 years young which was sweet but he is too young. In my time to respond to him out of my "myspace" I got slammed with the most unusual emails from sad angry single men around the country....I shut it down and said my prayer for all those sad lonely folks who are lost with in themselves.

Then turned to my children in rejoice because they are my gift in life and started singing!

Who's got a beard that's long and white
Santa's got a beard that's long and white
Who comes around on a special night
Santa comes around on a special night
Special Night, beard that's white
Must be Santa
Must be Santa
Must be Santa, Santa Clause
Who wears boots and a suit of red
Santa wears boots and a suit of red
Who wears a long cap on his head
Santa wears a long cap on his head
Cap on head, suit that's red
Special night, beard that's white
Must be Santa
Must be Santa
Must be Santa, Santa Clause
Who's got a big red cherry nose
Santa's got a big red cherry nose
Who laughs this way HO HO HO
Santa laughs this way HO HO HO
HO HO HO, cherry nose
Cap on head, suit that's red
Special night, beard that's white
Must be Santa
Must be Santa
Must be Santa, Santa Clause
Who very soon will come our way
Santa very soon will come our way
Eight little reindeer pull his sleigh
Santa's little reindeer pull his sleigh
Reindeer sleigh, come our way
HO HO HO, cherry nose
Cap on head, suit that's red
Special night, beard that's white
Must be Santa
Must be Santa
Must be Santa, Santa Clause
Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen,
Comet, Cupid, Donner and Blitzen
Reindeer sleigh, come our way
HO HO HO, cherry nose
Cap on head, suit that's red
Special night, beard that's white
Must be Santa
Must be Santa
Must be Santa, Santa Clause

singing to wake them up this morning

Here comes Santa Claus!
Here comes Santa Claus!
Right down Santa Claus Lane!
Vixen and Blitzen and all his reindeer
are pulling on the reins.
Bells are ringing, children singing;
All is merry and bright.
Hang your stockings and say your prayers,
'Cause Santa Claus comes tonight.
Here comes Santa Claus!
Here comes Santa Claus!
Right down Santa Claus Lane!
He's got a bag that is filled with toys
for the boys and girls again.
Hear those sleigh bells jingle jangle,
What a beautiful sight.
Jump in bed, cover up your head,
'Cause Santa Claus comes tonight

We are busy getting the house ready, we will post our holiday songs throughout the day as we sing them. "We sing" is jamming on the sterio.

a little OCD maybe more than one of us??

I have given Tressa extra vitamin B's as a try to get her into better sleep patterns and allow her more energy during the day. A more stable sleep pattern (body to rest) to hopefully increase positive interactions/behaviors during the day. Well look, it is 4 am. I have been up for an hour waiting for her to wake up... I hope it is not a fluke and actually the vitamins will help long term... Two things have happened. #1, She is taking extra Vit B's , #2, she has been told Santa will not come if she is awake.. so possibly she is preparing tonight to sleep through the night tomorrow and her mind is not focused on waking to seek food??? Who knows but I need to get my act together so I can sleep through the nights now. Interesting both last night and tonight I have had to get Steven back to sleep. He didn't leave his bed but he turns on his TV and sit up which then brings on rocking..... We all need to readjust to sleeping through the night if this Vit. supplement is the key.

It's Grrr grench time.....stay home my friends

I tell you, last week I went to finish all my shopping, everyone was smiling, greeting one another with smiles and "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Holiday" some even gave hugs. Cashiers happy, customers pleasant.... I DID SAY LAST WEEK...

TODAY, my children nearly get run over not once but twice in the Target parking lot from drivers not wanting to obey laws for pedestrians in cross walks....Then the look when they barely hit your child like they wish they had...and flipping fingers, yelling inside the stores and out right nasty actions from people.... These can not be the same people shopping last week??? I got back into my van, went to the quiet side of town to a little more expensive store but well worth the time and money. I got my dips/chips/finger foods for tomorrows evening gathering. I actually complimented the store employees about their disposition and how pleased I was to be shopping there today.

I have my famous spinach dip made, Mandie made guacamole dip and spicy Hummus was bought pre-made. Chips of variety and cheeses/crackers. Michelle is in charge of drinks although I have hot spiced cider and flavored coffee on the back shelf in case she forgets. Mandie will make the final decision of sandwiches or pizza tomorrow. It is 50/50 in requests...

I have almost all my wrapping completed, the stockings will go together tomorrow night after the little ones are asleep. We will make cookies tomorrow for Santa and dress the house up for the party.

We wish you all a very family/friends centered couple of days. Enjoy this time together. Be neighborly. Give that extra smile.

Kids shopping for Mom

Mandie took the girls "shopping for me" yesterday. They went in her convertible with the top down...Florida Christmas shopping at it's finest. Tressa complained because wind was in her face. She wanted to know why Mandie took her lid off..lol Once at the stores Keirsten was constantly found in the size 3 section. Mandie had to redirect her to the Mom sections of the stores. She said everything she initiated to have them get they said no I didn't need it and they bought what they wanted for "me??" We will see, I do not know what they chose. Today the boys are going. I sent a list of things I need....ice cube trays, big coffee cup, printer paper, socks for tennis shoes, eye shadows, a book of a series of three where i have read two.. The Fragrances of Roses, by Nikki Ariana, Hair conditioner. The boys are with Mandie now out shopping.

I am taking a couple days off of cleaning the garage because my body said so this morning. I will head out for the last minute items to avoid being in stores the next couple of days. Everyone here Christmas Eve although we all bring things.. a brunch on Christmas day and then dinner. After the party and those left overs I am turkey tired.... I could go for a BBQ on the back porch on the grill. Cheeseburger even. If I add french fries i am sure I can convince my crew as well.

sleep patterns

I rolled over at 2:45am to scan the house (habit) and in doing so I notice my cup of hot chocolate is not on my bedside table (something Tressa would take) I sprint out of bed because the Kitchen is open...it takes me a minute to realize she is not here. Jordan has climbed into my bed and must have polished off the drink??? He was sound asleep in the TV room when I went to bed, I will look for the cup in the morning. A run through the house, I find all the children asleep in their beds. An email from a dear friend has landed, I read that, then check the sites I am on and HERE I AM.. I will not take medications to help me sleep for fear anything can happen as a single parent I never want to be under any medication when an emergency might occur. I am going to close here and relax to get back to sleep, I hope.

achey breaky back...

Oh my goodness I can not tell you what has gotten into me, I have been a cleaning maniac. I spent most of the day out in the garage. Anyone who has seen my "garage" in the past year knows it was a beast of a job to tackle. I must admit I have very important "stuff" out there...Ok I also must admit that very important "stuff" hasn't been touched since the year 2000. I know the whole theory if you don't touch it in a year...6 months..etc But what if I threw out something IMPORTANT.... Well if you follow this blog you know I have my lifetime Disney passes replaced so there is no longer that excuse not to toss out "stuff" not touched since the year 2000. I had a HUGE pile for the garbage men this morning, then after they left I "re-piled" for their drive by to the outer circles of our neighborhood. They scratched their head smiled and stopped for a second pick up...then I smiles and said; Please come back by on your way out of the neighborhood... I think he said; Yeah right. I hope that translates to; we will be happy to. I am not stopping. I am loading my van with EVERYTHING that belongs to Kory so it can neatly be put into HIS VAN......and Josh's stuff is being shipped to his place up North and I am going to own my garage. I am so excited it is like getting a playhouse at 48!!! My space!! I might finally be able to actually be organized. When I packed away the Holiday Party items in a nice tight neat spot which is safe and secure I just wanted to look at it....Is this really "my space" for "my stuff" new stuff that will sure to be used every year. I know, I need a life!

Tressa is staying over at Mandie's for the night so I can get a full 8 hours of sleep. M body says I shouldn't have so much daily energy...I forget my age is not 20 any longer, my mind will always be in my 20's. The kids and I are having a pie party" tonight.. I chose key lime as did Kaitlyn and the others have apple. The kitchen isn't locked and we are all relaxed eating pie... moments of life we Cherish.

Ghost Busters Movie is on TV so I am chopped liver right now, allowing me Blog time... They know the movie word for word and the songs are sung loud and strong from my little Ghost Buster groupies.

Energy came from nowhere

I made it until 1 pm when Lamar and Michelle came to have the visit for Ayden. Something hit me and off I went...Opened the garage door and started working like a beaver building a dam. I am totally in shock at what I was able to get done with a visit going on, the kids home and everything on my shoulders and my back hurting from the past few days working the party..

The reason I stopped to blog right now is that I LOVE MY KIDS SO MUCH.......

I made dinner, heating up guess what...mash potatoes, stuffing and gravy...with green beans..LOL They love it so what the heck...A pack of turkey hot dogs and it is the kids dream dinner.

I brought up the conversation about Christmas and asked who remembered Baby Jesus' moms name...they had all forgotten--GO FIGURE (my name) So I start off about Mother Mary and how she got the baby in her tummy from God. That she was having her baby and they couldn't get a room..so we go through the entire story about the kings, presents, things given from our hard work and hands is so much more meaningful and why.... the end I question and Tressa gives all the right answers. She gets it...

I end by saying it is a real story but it actually happened a long long time ago...

With a very high pitch loud voice Tressa says. For real Mom it is a true story, you didn't make it up again....... LOL I cracked up. She is so cute! I secured the meaning of Christmas and was reassuring her I did not make up the story, and we will get our nativity scene down to play it out tomorrow on the table with the statues and the stable. She then says she thinks it is so cool Baby Jesus mom is the same name as her mom.

catching up

I am still a step behind...Saturday.

We woke up late Saturday (8 am) and had a lazy day at home. Jim and Nancy stayed over so Saturday was a friends morning of play outside. Keirsten tested Steven's new bike and it works perfect. Mandie came at noonish so we could visit before she started to work. The day was easy. I actually stayed in my PJ's until about 5 pm when I knew I needed to get milk and other supplies for Sunday to avoid taking all the kids out into the world of "shop mania."

I have a ton if wrapping to do. I have Lara's almost done (my grand daughter) Her mom is going to swing by to get the items so she can put them under the tree. Erin is working 2 jobs and doing extra baby sitting to keep ahead. We haven't seen them in a long time.

It is Sunday and again the kids slept until 8 am...yeah! Keirsten is spending time in her room reading her new Twilight book. the others outside playing and Lucas is keeping a low profile with his toys and thumb in mouth. He is looking better. I am getting food in him every to hours. He had dropped 8 lbs in the past couple of weeks so this next three I need to get it back on. At school they have him feed himself and do not exert much to get him to eat if he shyaway from eating. I feed every two hours her s he can hold weight. We are having a visit with Ayden and Lamar this afternoon (Ayden's Father) so we will be distracted. Need to run, the kids need me.
