The week in review

I am still waiting to get my camera returned...the reason no photos are being posted... a situation which will be corrected soon. :o)

The kids are excited for the long 4 day weekend. WE do not have school Friday or Monday because of built in Hurricane days (snow days for my up north friends to relate)

This weekend is the semi annual PWS Florida association conference occurring in ORLANDO-DOWNTOWN DISNEY! The association has grants and have offered our hotel paid to make it an affordable conference to bring the kids for the weekend. A LONG AWAITED VACATION! The kids wanted to go to Animal Kingdom but we are going in June for a week, we will go check on Tressa's star this trip and have a great day at GIVE KIDS THE WORLD.

I am now going through the orientation/trainings, etc... to be a Brownie Girl Scout leader. It is very exciting to be using my creative side for something which Tressa is totally excited about. Kaitlyn will be my Cadette Girl scout assistant to the troop and earn Cadette patches for her efforts. I am using my thrift store skills to find Brownie uniform pieces for fifty cents to a dollar--turning around and selling for five dollar donations to the troop..we need to build funds to make the troop active right away. So many ideas I have.

This week also brought a grant into PODS Angels (Cape Coral Families) to have respite again.. A great week indeed! It gives me a lot to focus on which is always where I thrive... "BUSY"

I have been contacted to begin the hopes of another successful Holiday party here in Cape Coral for families raising children with disabilities and having hard times. I feel revived!!! The excitement of the holidays are here. The house is decorated for Halloween right now and will transform to Thanksgiving the days following our Trick or Treat party. Many will gather at our home on the 31st for a growling time.

I am trying to figure a good time to get up North to visit my birth family whom I have not seen in 20 years + .... Many classmates and all I left in 1988 to move down here.

Today I went to the kids school for an IEP on Lucas..my team with the kids best interest at heart so no stress.. While I entered the school Jordan was being escorted to the Principles office (I was informed by the office staff.) I sat quietly so the staff could continue without my interference... I look up and a photo crew are taking pictures of Jordan and the Principle who wears a tie to school every day, just like Jordan!! Jordan with his brand new Winnie the pool, Tigger and Eeyore tie.. Our schools motto is positive reinforced only.. It is working! After school I took Jordan to the thrift shop and he picked out two more ties. One of Donald Duck which is very cool and the other says I LOVE YOU MAN! all over it very bold with the exclamation point at the tip... He has chosen that for tomorrow. It is a riot. The thrift store staff are holding Disney ties behind the corner for him..... It is all positive!

I am sure tomorrow with an 8:30 appt, Emma for 6 mos shots at 11, an IEP at noon and my first aide class at 5:30 I am not sure I will be on the computer...maybe not on this blog until Tuesday the next several days are going to be a blurrrrrr..so much to do with the kids.

Monday we return, the kids prepare to go back to school Tuesday..
Tuesday Emma has an MRI, two kids have dentist appointments and Tressa has a shoe fitting. Wed. Two for ear rechecks at the specialist so if clear audiology tests and then hair cuts, Thursday some brain test at Healthpark for Emma, and something more and something after that...then ESE advisory that night.
