Today is decorate the house day..Get things cleaned up and all their rooms clean, laundry done, garbage out and yard secure. Our neighborhood in the past really got out and celebrated family time this night. Many spook filled homes and garages. Lots of couples out at the end of their drive ways with their pets. A time to be out in cool weather saying hellp to the busy working families in our neighborhood.

This year the ecnomy has manyempty houses, many new families and it is unusually hot out for wearing costumes... More like 4th of July pool side BBQ weather actually.

I need to run, kids getting restless, and before I know it, it will be 3 pm and Jessica is coming for repite for the day.... I need to get on top of my game!

YUCK......but Independence is the goal.

Yes, it is pancakes with BLUE CHEESE dressing, then Kaitlyn chose SHRIMP seafood sauce and PANCAKES.
I almost threw up....

Now, the house is quiet, I have my time and I smile at all that I see and feel...Emma is sleeping making those newborn baby sounds... Jordan is asleep next to me; curled up sucking his thumb showing me the soft side of him unlike the man/tough guy he thrives to be each day. Kaitlyn sits in my room watching TV along side me asking questions which make me know she is growing up, a young lady with lots of big girl questions..but still say euwwwww when she sees a couple kiss on TV--YES!! It is weird that her imagination on the EHM nomination continues to grow, tonight when the commercial for EHM show came on she said Michael is building her a new room in her new home with a new bed and her own computer....She giggled and seemed very sure of herself... I can not figure out who is feeding her this information. She watches the show each week. ???? She can not tell me.
Steven is rocking making the rhythm of thumps, Lucas is sleeping tummy down bum in the air...Tressa is out solid with hr glasses laying next to her pillow, Keirsten is out back on the swing swinging smiling and talking on the phone....My Ladies night..Ladies this beats any special out their on the town...

Making decorations for our annual Halloween Party

Friends and family gather at our house to go into our neighborhood for trick or treating. We will have less children this year than normal because Michelle moved to GA with her crew and the boys moved to Illinois in the past year. Mandie's family and her in laws are coming, Jessica and others have said they will be coming. The neighbors are looking forward to us coming although I fear lots of QUESTIONS will come up about "Have you heard anything?" and I am trying to keep the children out of it until we know because they are innocent and I do not want their feelings crushed thinking it is, when it might never be.... Mandie had an idea to try to get them to understand --for those lost (ABC's EXTREME HOME MAKEOVER considering us) We bought a lottery ticket and let them know if we won it would be MILLIONS of dollars and lots of people really want to win....we looked in the paper last Sunday and learned our numbers did not come up....helping them to understand what "chances" to win mean.. Who knows if thy really understand. The only ones talking about it regularly are Keirsten and Kaitlyn. The others, every now and again they will ask a question about the day we did the video...more about if we are going to Disney World...they watched the show Sunday and Kaitlyn blurts out "they are going to build us a house with a Mickey mouse pool" Not sure where that came from.

At the kids' school conferences today many asked...it is all up up the air today..can take up to two months I was told.... Then to the Doctors offices today. The appointments and all three asked lots of questions and shared their chills of excitement...It is contagious and I am trying hard to keep level headed to prepare for the call saying they chose another family...I must say I can get lost in the dream when my guard is down.

For all still asking...we are being considered..I hear they get it to 5 families and then the day they choose...they go to the one home.. I have NO IDEA when that is, no information to us and I am sure I will not be able to share any information until you all know....Just keep your fingers crossed XXXXXXXXX Ours are.

Not Fairytales......the dark side....lol

Mandie did the final touches for Saturday's party. Steven was afraid to even touch let alone put on the CHUCKIE mask...He is OK with it as long as he doesn't look in a mirror...The other kids laugh. Lucas has learned to look in the eye ball holes to see who is who and the masks do not phase him. Emma is oblivious.

WARNING: SCARY MASKS!!!!!

Vicki said it looks like we are going to the BALL....

...... she spoke too soon, the boys are not Prince material.
