Lilly goes home.....

Well getting back into the saddle of every three hour feeds was a jolt to my "stability." The kids were loving on little Lilly and excited when her new mommy and daddy came. The experience was another fine memory.

The couple adopting Lilly came from Germany on a very long tiring flight...I suggested they stay over at their condo on the east coast Friday night and come today. They got unpacked and a night of sleep before heading our way. Right at 10am, as planned, they called for directions. The excitement in their voices was contagious... they are a 30 yr old couple not able to have children of their own, tried everything and accepted adoption as their option 2 years ago. Today their lives changed forever. The love that came through my door for this little girl was indescribable. Mom took the first hold and began instant tears of joy, she got weak in the knees, Dad took baby to a sit position and silent tears of joy as he lightly touched her face, down her arms on each finger her tummy down her legs and across each toe...It was visible he was taking in his new daughter, every inch of her tiny 5 lbs into his heart; pure and simply from the love of waiting to be a parent. Mom was jittery like opening her first Christmas package as a child..she had a smile from ear to ear the entire time. She would speak in disbelief and do the pinch myself this is really happening??? Very cute and very sweet. They are off in their condo bonding together for the next few weeks as their dream came through ADOPTION!

Keirsten was excited to be a part of the placement although sad to let Lilly go so quickly. Kaitlyn was confused...She read the bracelet from the hospital and believed the baby's name to be Oscar...and told the parents her name is Oscar. Mom said she really doesn't look like an Oscar and presented to Kaitlyn the name Lilly. They talked it through and Kaitlyn was OK with the name Lilly. LOL Steven could have cared less, he came in for a hug from Mom and Dad then back to the pool. Jordan was protective and kept telling them to put the baby back... LOL He told them not to take her although didn't do anything real inappropriate when it was understood it is her mommy and daddy...Jordan went over and gave the Dad a huge hug around his waist which was sweet. Tressa was all about telling the couple about her birth parents as I think she was confused on the role exactly ..thinking this was the birth family coming for their child but the word adoption being used??? It wasn't really about Lilly for Tressa more about her... "shocker there" lol They got to hear all about Tressa's up coming visit, Mom was very kinds and stopped e when I tried to get Tressa to move on...she said "She can tell me all about her birth family, don't stop her"....She has no idea. Lucas could have cared less and Miss Emma had a crooked smile not thinking she was leaving fast enough...LOL Too cute.
