(high school)
Mrs. Mac,
Fri. 10/22/09
Keirsten got in after we talked on the phone. She said pretty much the same things as you except she said that the boy kicked her desk three times and she had to retrieve her book bag three separate times. It was after the third time she pinched this boy and had warned she was going to ..(NOT THAT IT IS OK/ clear time frame an adult should have intervened) if true clearly she was put in a situation a school staff should have intervened. She said that the first time you saw and ignored his actions as you did the second time, until the third time you did not intervene to assist, and this was after Keirsten's actions to defend herself from further harassment the best she had going for her at the time. She stated she understands her actions of pinching him was not appropriate yet done out of frustration of not knowing what to do, understands her consequence and will be at Saturday school tomorrow. When I asked her what she was advised to do in the future she said MS A. told her to ignore this.. I TOTALLY DISAGREE. We need this to be readdressed as my child should not be subjected to this and not have an avenue to seek proper assistance, ignoring is not proper planning. At the point this boy kicked her book bag the FIRST time she should have been given a safe place until the adult in charge got this act under control.
