MY RESPONSE:
Scholastic has a program on line called "click smart" Research based, Thoroughly tested, demonstrated effective, and meets No Child Left Behind requirements.
www.headsprout.com They offer a 3 session free trial to see if it fits your child's needs. Then it goes up to 80 lessons. The best part about this on line program is that it tracks the amount of clicks it takes for your child to learn a skill and logs their progress, records it and sends a report via email to you. This is an accredited program and approved by the FL DOE so if you are in a failing school your school can use this program to provide data that your kids are making progress. The program does cost money and you can make small payments if you can not afford the entire amount up front. Another important piece is that if your child clicks too many times to get through a lesson they will go back and start them at that lesson again until it is completed in a fashion it shows the child knows the skill.
