It is 8 more days about 11 hours but who's counting..lol I will board a plane to Seattle where Tressa will visit with her birth family and I will have little more to do than making sure Tressa is accounted for... very easy with so much family doubting over her for her annual visit. I think I might be able to read a book, type some memoirs or just soak in the tub once twice or three times..
I want to take Tressa to some of the landmarks of Seattle for her to begin memories now that she is old enough to connect photos in school books, such as when the space needle is present in the book, on the television or a movie. She comes from a different climate than Florida with an entirely different landscape it is important for her to connect her roots to build her life story. She has a very open adoption which has all been positive for her. As an experienced open adoption parent it is the next several years that need molded carefully so that her feelings remain the focus of decisions. Tressa carries a heavy weight of responsibility by her birth given genetics called Prader-willi syndrome and now onset diabetes. Surrounded by a world of loving family members will carry her on in a successful life of positive outcomes.
