We are all relaxing, letting the kids stay up a little later tonight and Lucas has a pile of his books he is looking through. He opened "Merry Christmas to You" a Winnie the Pooh series. when he turn the page to the two page picture of Pooh with a Christmas tree full of presents under the tree he signed "more" squealed loud and laughed, then signed "more" again. I said: Lucas, you want more Christmas? More presents? He ran to me offering kisses and hugs...a huge smile from ear to ear...
I told him he has a long wait but Santa will be back.... you will get more presents. Off he went with his confident strut. I often see him look around the house then take off and run from one side to the other and usually rounds the dining room table as if he has a "lap" to do (like a dog claiming his territory??)..and he stops and smiles and kind of looks out in space smiling for several minutes after. I can only imagine what is going through his mind. He really prefers being home than anywhere else right now. It is definitely his comfort zone to try new things and act big and brave.
