Our trip to Chuck E Cheese as a family of six (at home) WOW!
It seemed so simple to keep the kids home from school so the establishment would be less complicated for the kids to keep up. (Food issues for a few of them) Tressa is on 600 calories a day so one slip in this type place could wipe out our day. Steven has a real issue with picking up any ole drink and drinking from it. If there is food left on a table it could be trouble if the place is full. Tressa focused on games like I had hoped and food was not important. She had a salad and didn't even eat it all.
The morning was off but OK. The ride over to Ft Myers was simple and Barbie was waiting for us when we arrived. The kids jumped out and were ready to run to play. Barbie started with how we will walk together as a family. The kids get their marks to enter and all starts great. We have 100 tokens and the kids are going around checking things out before asking for coins. Once it all sank in the hands came out.... I need a token please... one more please. Lucas seemed a bit overwhelmed so I let him walk about. He wanted to be away from the bright lights/sounds/sirens etc. he wondered into the kitchen, behind the counter, in the utility room, bathrooms etc..I would direct him back out and he would quickly walk all around the room and every once in awhile a moving object caught his vision and he would stop. Off he would go. We put him on the merry go round and he was scared but loved all the mirrors to see himself. Once the ride stopped he looked off. We hand over hand signed "more" He tilted his head and we put the coin in. It started..he was emotionless. We did this several times to where he initiated he wanted more. You will see in the photos he actual searched for the merry go round later and boarded the ride requesting his desire to ride. This happened more and more over the time. We got to the place at about 10:00 am and left at 1:30 pm. The kids were great, they all were very good----we had one accident. Miss Tressa had a BM in her pants and oh what a mess. I thought the only answer would be to leave... I gave her a full head to toe sponge bath in the bathroom and washed her clothes so the kids could stay She was ok with semi wet shorts and shirt..the under items went to the trash. I was mixed on the now what do we do...Thank goodness barbie was there. She reminded me no attention. She lost out of 30 minutes of fun, no attention and off to continue what we came to do. Have fun!
I sure paid the price tonight... Between 7 and 8 pm I had the most whinny, crying sassy, over tired, over stimulated children in the city and they so needed to just let go and sleep. Lucas was so confused at all the emotions. He was crying and laughing and crying like he is badly hurt. Then stop and off he would go again..... You know when 10 minutes seems like hours it is just intense for them to let go and allow their body to fall asleep.... Whey. I sure hope they sleep all through the night. My neck is so tight it feels like it is burning. A hot tub soak is most likely in order.....Yeah! Let me load some photos and off to the Hot tub I will go.
