A star is born..... a natural on stage!

We arrived early and got in the 2nd row seating, She was a bit uneasy as we put together her outfit last minute. Her holiday dress ordered didn't make it for the play..Darn. But a holiday shirt and gold long skirt filled in. She has to wear special shoes and those just ruin the dress up effect. The elf socks she HAD TO WEAR went unnoticed I believe. We must have gotten 10 notices to be sure she wears shorts under her dress.... Well she was now wearing a full length skirt so "why"??????

Tressa walks in with her elf hat (we did her hair to hold the elf hat on for the entire show.. ) The hat was an issue in dress rehearsal this morning. The parade in was cute. We have photos to upload. She was on the bottom raised bleacher. Poor thing, the little step to get up and down the number of times she was up and down and back up again; then sit then stand then up and then down... She tires easy and this was like a gym workout for her. She wore down about 1/2 way through. The yawns started, (bog long ones) multiple sneezes, rubbing her eyes, faces from lord knows where. Enough to make people laugh. Almost looked like some one had pepper under her nose then seconds later a sour face like she is smelling something very soiled... I some times thought she knew she had some of the on lookers attention and was feeding right into it .or I mean they were feeding into her =solo play production=FACES, many facial expressions between yawns.. When she made eye contact with Mandie they had a secret code to do the rah rah like cheer motion at a foot ball game arm fist action... You will see it in the pictures.... many people laughed. I wanted to shoot both of them.... Mandie no sooner said "Mom she is going to trip on that skirt and she is going to be all exposed in her panties"....you see she doesn't have on shorts because she thought with a long skirt she didn't need shorts.... Like ESP Tressa starts riding her skirt up her leg, over her knees SHE HAS AN ITCH!!!!!!!! I am about ready to scream...when she makes eye contact with Mandie and has to drop the skirt to do the rah rah motion...Whew... she then sits down and we get the pantie shot so she can scratch that itch... lol I do not think too many notices because so much activity was going on and it was most likely only me who was hyper focused on Tressa. OH..... HER HAT, We did her hair in pony tails high on her head which held on the hat....She took her hat off and gave it to her paraprofessional who didn't make her put it back on....I motioned many times to put the hat back on...she smiled. With the hat now off she really looked silly..... like water falls of hair...

Everyone loves Tressa so much they made so many comments on how well she did.... She knew every word to every song and a couple times it was her voice of casting many. She had a few of the hand motions either early or some times she was starting to act up (I THINK) and I would position myself to get good eye contact and she got right back on track with what she was suppose to be doing. All in all it was perfect... some funny memories that all families should ave with a first grade play.... I celebrate that she made it through the entire play. On little boy cried and seemed like he was to stage freight but ended up making it through 80% of the play. We celebrate, she knew the songs and was right their with her peers.

When the play was over they passed out candy to all the kids so I scooped her off the opposite side of the stage and took her out. We are in a crisis time of the year and people think sugar free candy is ok...It is calories, many things that claim sugar free are actual high in calories.

WAY TO GO TRESSA DARLING! She sure put on a production of her own, on top of the school production.

PS: Mandie has the camera in her purse so I will work on Phobos tomorrow. I Will get anthers video because my Cord is missing and wasn't charged enough to get this show... Many families filmed and are willing to copy for us.
